What methods are used in Occupational Therapy treatment?
Planning and goal setting for therapy is performed in conjunction with the caregiver's input
Use of therapeutic activities and games to work on desired skills (for example a child who needs to work on his/her upper body strength may be given therapy putty games to work on grip strength or engage with the therapist in a tug of war game to work on shoulder stability)
Modifications to a child's environment may be helpful (lighting, adaptive equipment, etc.)
Use of exercises and engaging games to work on the desired skills needed for functioning
